Jake Shillingford, MLS songwriter and front man, said “I wanted to put the single out in conjunction with last years tour, however TV work commitments took hold. The London residency gives us an opportunity to physically hand over the new single to our loyal, wonderful fans and create an interactive event which is synonymous with the band. I’m looking forward to discovering who gets in the door first to bag 01 of the single!” Last year Jake and MLS guitarist Nick Evans wrote music for the Showtime series Homeland.
“24 Hour Deflowerer” is classic MLS wordplay similar to past hits as Strumpet and 12 Reasons Why I Love Her.
Last year the NME cited My Life Story as one of the greatest lost bands of the 90s.
